Angkor Wat in Depth 3 days by Mekong Delta Travel
Our trip explores Cambodia’s cultural
heritage and world’s wonder in Siem Reap, Angkor Wat as well as other
important temples in the city. Apart from magical temples, we take an
easy trip to Tonle Sap Great Lake, the largest body of freshwater in
Southeast Asia to visit the floating village.
Day 1: Arrive Siem Reap (L,D)
Upon arrival welcomed by our guide &
transfer to the hotel. This morning introduces us to Rolous Group
including Preah Ko, Bakong, Lo Lei; the Roluos group will bring you back
to among the earliest large, permanent temples built by the Khmers and
mark the beginning of the age of Khmer classical art. After lunch, in
the afternoon tour to Small Circuit including Prasat Kravan (Cardamon
sanctuary) the structure is unusual in that it was not constructed by
royalty, Banteay Kdei, Srah Srang (Royal Bath), Ta Prohm (Jungle Temple)
is undoubtedly the most atmospheric ruin at Angkor should be high on
the lit list of every visitor, Takeo is a stark and undecorated temple
that undoubtedly would have been one of the finest of all Angkor’s
structures, Thomamanon and Chau Say Tevoda.
Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 2: Angkor Thom – Angkor Wat (B,L,D)
In the early morning, enjoy our tima with
sunrise at Angkor Wat, then start our tour to South Gate of Angkor
Thom, then go to Angkor Thom(the temple) which was built by Angkor’s
greatest king, Jayavarman VII. The major attraction of Angkor Thom is
the Bayon, whose exact function and symbolism is still unknown until
now, then go to Baphoun which is one of the most spectacular of Angkor’s
temples in its heyday; Terrace of the Elephants was used as a giant
reviewing stand for public ceremonies and served as a base for the
king’s grand audience hall; Terrace of the Leper King is another of
Angkor’s mysteries. In the afternoon visit the World Seventh Wonder
which is well known as Angkor Wat, which is one of the most important
archaeological sites in South-East Asia. Angkor wat stretch over some
400 sq. km, including forested area, Angkor Archaeological Park contains
the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire.

Dinner with Khmer Traditional Dance Show.
Day 3: Siem Reap – Departure (L/D)
Today is a good break from the temple so that we will tour to
floating village and boat trip on Tonle Sap Great Lake to see the
lifestyle of fishermen. Tonlesap is famous for the basin of fresh water
fish there were 10 tons/ 1Square Km in the 60’s, visitors may visit the
fresh water exhibition where we can see various kinds of fish in
Tonlesap Lake. On the way, we will have a chance visit PO Pagada and
experience the real Buddhism in Cambodia. When we arrive the pier we
will have take the boat to the floating village and enjoy our time under
fresh water wind. At 11:00am we will return back in the afternoon, and
then have lunch at the local restaurant.
In the afternoon we will be free at leisure until transfer departure flights.
